Hofheimer Grotto

One of my favorite sitting spots in my sleepy little town. It was created by Nathan Hofheimer, a very wealthy German investor. Hofheimer retired to the United States, purchased 350 acres of land in Warren, New Jersey, and built a copper mine. When it closed down, Nathan had a grotto built over the mine.

I love that spot. I had one of my favorite dates ever there. We should picnic there soon.
