Our next assignment for general illustration was to illustrate a poem by Eve Merriam, which speaks of the unique nature of thumb prints and the individuals they belong to.

Just a new robot...

I finally got back my flash drive, which contained a few drawings I intended for here. It had apparently been lost in the depths of the couch cushions for weeks. Anyways, I'm still struggling with that whole motivation issue (but who wasn't in February?); there's a few new sketches, and an upcoming revision of the final version of the old folks below, but that's it for now. Who's with me in cheering on the return of Spring?

The first assignment of the new semester. We were to design a cover for the New Yorker in some way related to Valentine's Day or the general notion of love and the City. My idea's corny but I tried to make it cute.
